SINISTER STAR

Blue stragglers were a puzzle for astronomers for decades. They are often found within a cluster of other much older stars. Unlike their more ancient neighbors, they appear inexplicably hotter; thus younger and bluer. As it turns out the blue stragglers are vampires. They have been sucking away hydrogen from the stars surrounding them.
